It is submitted that the industry is not a brewery unit and is a micro brewery and SAC clearance is not applicable. Many such type of micro breweries are operating in the state of Punjab in various markets and commercial centres. These units have also obtained consent to operate of the Board.
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2028 with subject to suitable conditions and special conditions mentioned in earlier note.
