Earlier directions u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and 31-A of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 were issued to the hotel with following directions:
1. That, hotel management shall stop fresh bookings of rooms with immediate effect including booking being done through online booking agencies.
2. That, hotel management shall issue notice to present customers to vacate hotel within 7 days from the date of the issue of directions with written communication to the respective online booking agencies.
3. That, hotel management shall not allow new occupancy in room even in case there is pre-booking and respective customers shall be informed directly as well as through respective online booking agencies.
4. That, restaurant, kitty hall or any other activity in hotel shall be stopped, with immediate effect.
Now the industry has made the compliance and has applied for consent to operate.
In view of the reports as above consent to operate is approved for six months and it is recommended that

i. That, hotel management can make fresh bookings of rooms with immediate effect including booking being done through online booking agencies.
ii. That, hotel management can allow new occupancy in rooms. |
