• The colony was granted consent to establish (NOC) under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 dated 06.02.2020 (valid upto 03.02.2021), which was further extended upto 30.09.2023 for development of residential colony in an area of 6.28 acres having 75 residential plots & 14 commercial plots and for discharge of treated effluent @ 75 KLD after treatment in STP, for reutilization for flushing purposes and/or for watering of green areas in the project premises by laying pipeline etc. simultaneously with the commissioning of the project………..
• Now the project proponent applied for obtaining CTOs under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. …………
• The visiting officer has reported that the site of the colony was visited on 12.02.2024 and it was observed that 15 no. houses have been constructed and 10 are under construction. No commercial shop constructed yet. STP of 75 KLD installed. Discharge onto land developed under parks and into MC sewer. The project proponent has submitted the payment of sewerage charges to MC, Rampura Phul. 03 no. compost pits provided for management of wet solid waste and dry solid waste is lifted by the MC…………….
• In view of above, if approved, CTOs under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 be granted to the project proponent for occupancy of 25 houses and for discharge of treated effluent @ 20 KLD, upto 30.09.2026, subject to the following special conditions that:-…………
1. The project proponent shall apply for obtaining varied consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 as & when the occupancy or discharge of treated effluent increases beyond the consented occupancy and discharge………...
2. The project proponent shall operate the STP regularly and scientifically and shall maintain proper record of the effluent generated/ treated/ discharged…………
3. The project proponent will not use any fresh water in the green area/ plantation developed inside the project premises and will make adequate arrangements to reuse the treated effluent for flushing purposes and / or for watering of green areas in the project premises and only the excess effluent will be discharged into MC sewer………….
4. The project proponent shall ensure no stagnation in the plantation area and will be bound to increase the same in case any stagnation is observed in it……….
5. The project proponent shall also develop the vermicomposting/composting to manage the biodegradable solid waste and shall not throw, burn or bury any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain / water bodies………….
6. The project proponent shall perform / promote its Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities as well as use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic (See attached banner/circular)………..
7. The project proponent shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises………..
8. The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner…………
9. The project proponent shall carry out awareness and activities for the themes / action points identified under Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for the Environment) by Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change given at the website (http://missionlife-moefcc.nic.in)………….
