Sir, the industry is small scale red category unit and was earlier granted consent upto 30/06/2023 for manufacturing of STEEL FORGING COMPONENTS @ 8.5 T/day.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of STEEL FORGING COMPONENTS @ 18 TPD.
The industry has submitted details of increase in plant and machinery and has also deposited year wise consent fees on account of increase in fixed assets.
The site of industry was visited by RO on 08.01.2024 and it was reported as under :-
1. The industry was in operation and engaged in forging process.
2. The industry has installed 3 no. oil fired furnaces and 4 no. shot blasting machines with inbuilt bag houses as APCD in its premises.
3. The industry has installed forging hammers of varying capacities attached with oil fired furnace alongwith individual hood and adequate stack height and two forging hammers are attached with electric induction heaters.
4. The Industry has installed two D.G sets of capacity 625 KVA and 250 KVA using HSD as fuel.
5. The industry is located in designated industrial area-C, Ludhiana and as such the additions made by it could be regularized.
Deposited consent fee is adequate upto 30.06.2027.
In view of the above, it is recommended that varied consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to industry upto 30.06.2027 with usual conditions, please.
