As discussed, the project proponent has mentioned increase in volume of product stored in depot. However it has also mentioned that the earlier storage capacity is sufficient to handle increased volume of products and the depot have not constructed any new storage tanks as well as it has not increased its land area. Thus the industry has to obtain NOC expansion/modernization as the unit has changed its products, which are to be stored. The industry is having already valid consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 which is valid upto 31.03.2028. In view of above, if approved, the application be returned with the request to industry that it shall give proper representation regarding increase in volume of storage capacity (current storage capacity) and apply for NOC expansion first and then reply for CTO.
