Pointwise reply of clarification raised by the Competent Authority is as under:
1. What is the status of consent to operate for the existing unit.
The industry was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH1/2018/8071933 dated 08/08/2018, valid upto 30/06/2023 for the manufacturing of Electroplating of cycle parts @ 6000 Nos./day, B.B Ring @ 20000 Nos/day.
2. From the above note it is not clear what expansion is to be made by the industry.
The industry has submitted subject cited application for ‘consent to establish'/ (NOC expansion) for Electroplating of Tent Furniture chairs on job basis @ 250 Nos./day alongwith existing Electroplating of cycle parts @ 6000 Nos./day, B.B. Ring @ 20000 Nos/day. For addition of electroplating line for Electroplating of Tent Furniture chairs, it has revised its agreement with CETP operator for disposal of trade effluent @ 15000 ltr/month.
3. What will be increase in the pollution load? Comment please.
The industry has existing 'Consent to Operate' for the manufacturing of Electroplating of cycle parts @ 6000 Nos./day, B.B Ring @ 20000 Nos/day. For which, it had signed an agreement with CETP operator for disposal of trade effluent @ 8000 ltr/month. Now, due to increase in effluent, the industry has revised its agreement with CETP for disposal of trade effluent @ 15000 ltr/month.
