The point wise reply to the observations of the Zonal Office-1, Patiala is given as under:

1. The details of disposal arrangements for which earlier NOC had been granted to PP. As per fresh NOC granted to the project proponent in the year 2017, the mode of disposal of treated wastewater @ 183 KLD was for plantation / horticulture / green lawns / flushing purposes & construction activities (upto maximum extent) and balance, if any, into sewer conforming to the effluent standards prescribed by the Board / Ministry of Environment and Forests & Climate Change
2. To intimate as to whether PP has obtained permission from MC for connection with MC sewer The project proponent has submitted a copy of certificate issued by Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Kharar vide no. 119 dated 09.03.2017 in which, it has been mentioned that:
“It is certified that M/s Motia Real Estate, Sector 117 Chajju Majra, Kharar Group Housing Project namely ROYAL FAME-II is approved by the MC Kharar vide letter No.’ 64 dated 20-2-2017. At present there is no sewerage system is laid in this area. After laying sewerage system in this locality, Municipal Council Kharar has no objection if Group Housing Project namely ROYAL FAME-II discharge its Sewerage treated water 290 KLD as per norms made by Punjab Pollution Control Board at their own cost into the sewer system of Municipal Council Kharar after depositing charges framed by Govt. and as per Govt. instructions and rules of the Deptt. of Local Govt. Punjab. This certificate is being issued on the basis of undertaking given by the M's Motia Real Estate., Sector 117, Chajju Majra, Kharar.”
3. A complaint has also been received NHAI w.r.t disposal of wastewater by the different housing projects. EE, RO SAS Nagar be requested to examine as to whether the project namely ROYAL FAME II DEVELOPED BY MOTIA REAL ESTATE is also a part of the complaint received from NHAI and process the case accordingly, please The project is located at a distance of more than 2 KM from landran-kharar road, therefore, it is not possible for the project proponent to discharge untreated / treated wastewater directly into storm drain of NHAI along Landran-Kharar Highway.
