The industry is an existing unit engaged in the production of parboiled / steamed rice @ 96 TPD, steamed / raw rice @ 72 TPD, Raw Rice @ 48 TPD, Sorted Rice @ 216 TPD and Refined Oil @ 80 TPD. The industry was visited by officer of the Board on 08.12.2023 and observed that the industry was in operation for manufacturing of steamed rice only and solvent section, refining section and parboiling section were not in operation. ETP installed was under stabilization. Plantation developed in an area of 4 acres. Boilers installed are of capacity 14 TPH with trima cyclone followed by wet scrubber as APCD, thermopack of capacity 10 Lac Kcal and 8 TPH with Multi cyclone as APCD and another boiler of capacity 8 TPH with multi cyclone followed by wet scrubber as APCD. Cyclones provided as APCD with paddy pre cleaners as well as shelling sections. No violation reported under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 and the visiting officer has reported that the industry is complying with the provisions of said Acts as well as with the code of practice prescribed for such type of units………..
In view of above, if approved, CTOs granted to the industry be further extended upto 31.03.2029 / adequacy of consent fee, subject to the following special conditions:-
1. The industry shall intimate the operational schedule of the parboiled unit/ refinery / solvent plant to the Regional Office, Faridkot of the Board so as to enable the Board to collect its effluent samples………..
2. The industry shall maintain proper record of the effluent generated/treated……..
3. The industry will ensure no stagnation in the plantation area and will be bound to increase the same in case stagnation is observed in it at any time………..
4. The industry will not undergo any expansion w.r.t. its production capacity as well as land area without obtaining prior permission of the Board…………..
5. The industry will comply with code of practice notified by the Govt. of Punjab, Department of Science, Technology & Environment vide notification no. 10/48/2004-STE(4)/932 dated 15.10.2013………..
