It is submitted that the industry in the name and style of M/s A.P. Builders, Village Kakrala, Patiala-Samana Road, Distt. Patiala has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Ready Hot Mix @ 100 MT/day by using Bitumen @ 5.5 T/day, Drushed Stone Aggregates @ 77 T/day and Sand @ 17.5 T/day as raw material.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by the undersigned of this office on 29.02.2024 and found no responsible person was available at site. During visit, it was observed as under:-
1. The unit was not in operation.
2. The industry has provided scrubbing system as APCD but no stack has been provided. It was observed that the work of installation of stack was in progress at site. Recirculation system to re-circulate the scrubbing water is not in place.
3. The industry has provided one no. bitumen heater and these are not equipped with stack of adequate height.
4. The plant has centralized control panel for presetting/controlling/ synchronizing plant operations.
5. The domestic effluent treatment system is yet to be provided.
6. The movement road have not been stabilized.
7. Proper green belt has not been provided around the unit.
Since the work of installation of the plant is still in progress and not in line to operate the plant. Therefore, the application of the unit may be returned with the request to re-submit the same after completion of the installation of plant and attending to the aforesaid observations as per code of practice .
