It is intimated that the industry is a small scale orange category unit. The industry has earlier granted consent under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH2/2019/8995256 dated 16/01/2019 expired on 30/09/2023 & under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH2/2019/8995254 dated 16/01/2019 expired on 30/09/2023 under orange category for the manufacturing of products GENERAL FORGING AND MACHINING OF HAND TOOLS(PLIERS & SPANNERS) @ 2.0 T/day.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for the manufacturing of products GENERAL FORGING AND
MACHINING OF HAND TOOLS (PILLERS & SPANNERS.) @ 2.5 TPD. Earlier the industry has installed 2 forging hammers, now the industry has installed 1 additional hammer for which the industry has applied for varied consent to operate.
The site of industry was visited by the AEE/JEE of this office on 29.02.2023 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit and engaged in the process of forging.
2. The industry has installed 03 forging hammers in which furnace oil is being used is fuel with adequate stack height.
3. The industry has installed one furnace oil fired hardening furnace with adequate stack height.
4. The industry has installed one electrically operated tempering furnace.
5. The industry has installed one shot blasting machine which is provided with inbuilt bag house as APCD and stack of adequate height.
6. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent onto land for plantation after septic tank.
7. The industry has installed one DG set of capacity 125 KVA, which is equipped with canopy and stack of adequate height.
8. The industry has submitted approved building plan prepared by Sh. Santokh, competent person Director of Factories, Punjab.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that varied consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2028.
