As discussed, the manufacturing of the industry falls under the producer in the Battery Rules,2022. As per the Battery Rules 2022 (Function of the producer at point no 4 ) the person or an entity involved in the manufacturing of Battery shall have to register through the online centralised portal as a Producer in Form 1(A). The certificate of registration shall be issued in Form 1(B).
May, if approved:- 1) Directions u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be issued for restoration of electric connection of the industry temporarily for six months. 2) The consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for six months with suitable conditions and additional condition:- a) The industry will register under the EPR portal as per the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022. 3) Suitable amount of Bank Guarantee be imposed on the industry before restoration.
