Kindly peruse the note of AEE. In view of facts mentioned in the agenda note of AEE, it is recommended that Consent to Establish (NOC) under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for one year with suitable conditions and special conditions as under:
1. The industry shall obtain permission from the Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (PWRDA) for the abstraction of ground water and submit the same at Regional Office, Fatehgarh Sahib.
2. The industry shall up-grade its bag filter in the bag house in the existing APCD as per decision of the Competent Authority within one month and submit the same in this office.
3. The industry shall develop the adequate green area all around the boundary wall of the unit and stabilize the movement area within one month.
4. The industry will not generate and discharge any trade effluent without obtaining prior written permission of the Board.
5. The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities.
6. The industry shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic-thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocal or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.
7. The industry shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
