Sir, the industry was issued show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board on 30.01.2024, wherein it was decided as under:-
1. The industry shall get the trade effluent lifted to CETP operator regularly.
2. The industry shall maintain the record of water consumption in the process and trade effluent got lifted to CETP operator and submit the same to Board.
3. The industry shall operate its APCD regularly and efficiently so as to achieve the prescribed standards of the Board.
4. The industry shall submit analysis report of APCD to Board, within 07 days.
5. The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office shall re-visit the industry to verify the submission of the industry, collect air emission samples and submit the report alongwith recommendations in the matter.
In compliance to the decisions of hearing, RO reported that the unit was visited by RO on 08.02.2024 and air emission samples were collected, as per report the results of emissions are within the limits. The industry is maintaining the record of water consumption in the process and getting trade effluent lifted to the CETP operator. The record was checked and found in order.
In view of the above, it is recommended that:-
1. Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be further renewed for a period of six months i.e upto 30.06.2024 as proposed by RO.
2. Directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued for restoration of electric connection for six months i.e upto 30.06.2024 as proposed by RO, please.
