Sir, the industry is a medium scale unit was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 both valid upto 30/09/2023 for the manufacturing of Auto Parts @ 15700 nos/day.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with requisite documents.
The industry has submitted detail of increase in its fixed assets i.e. purchase of lathe machines, power presses, Hobbing machine and other misc. non-polluting machinery. There is no increase in production capacity as well as pollution load due to increase in the said fixed assets.
The industry was visited by RO on 29.02.2024 and it was reported as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit and engaged in manufacturing of auto parts.
2. The manufacturing of the industry is as Raw Material – Forging (outside) Annealing (Electric) – Turning – Machining – Gas Carborizing – Shot Blasting – Grinding – Checking & Packing.
3. The industry has installed 1 no. electric shot blast machine with bag filter house as APCD and adequate stack height.
4. The industry has installed 1 no. electric annealing furnace, 2 no. electric tempering furnace, 4 no. electric gas carborizing and 1 no. electric induction heater.
5. The industry has installed 3 nos. DG sets of capacity 500 KVA, 250 KVA and 125 KVA with canopies and adequate stack heights. There is only generation of domestic effluent, which is being discharged into sewer.
6. The industry does not generate any trade effluent & only domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
7. The industry is complying with the conditions of the previous consent granted under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 to it.
Deposited consent fee is adequate upto 30/09/2028
In view of the above, it is recommended that 'consent to operate' under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed upto 30/09/2028 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board, please.
