The industry has obtained renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2023/22865446 dated 04.08.2023, which is adequate upto 31.03.2028 for production of Dyeing & Washing of Garments @ 10000 Number/Day, Printing of Garments @ 2000 Number/Day & Dyeing of Fabrics @ 2500 Kg/day and for discharge trade effluent @ 493.7 KLD and domestic Effluent @ 6.3 KLD into CETP of 40 MLD (Focal Point Module) viz-a-viz shares of 500 KLD with suitable and special conditions mentioned therein……………….
The industry has obtained renewal of consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2021/13903336 dated 09.02.2021, which is valid upto 30.06.2025 for production of Dyeing & Washing of Garments @ 10000 Number/Day, Printing of Garments @ 2000 Number/Day & Dyeing of Fabrics @ 2500 Kg/day for using Pet Coke as fuel in one packaged boiler of capacity 2 TPH with cyclone followed by double stage alkali scrubber as APCD and adequate stack height and 02 no. D.G. set of capacity 500 KVA and 250 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height…………………...
The industry has applied for varied consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS for production of Dyeing & Washing of Garments @ 10000 Number/Day, Printing of Garments @ 2000 Number/Day & Dyeing of Fabrics @ 2500 Kg/day for using the Multi fuel (Pet Coke, Wood, Wooden Briquettes, Paddy straw and Pellets) as fuel in is one packaged boiler of capacity 2 TPH with cyclone followed by double stage alkali scrubber as APCD and 02 no. D.G. set of capacity 500 KVA and 250 KVA………………………..
The industry has deposited consent fee, which is adequate upto 30.06.2029……………...
The industry was visited by the AEE of RO on 20.02.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during the visit and engaged in washing and dyeing of garments.
2. The industry has installed one boiler of 02 TPH with cyclone followed by double stage alkali scrubber as APCD and adequate stack height. The industry was found using agriculture waste as fuel.
3. One stack emission sample was collected from porthole on stack after APCD. As per analysis report received from Zonal Lab, Ludhiana; the concentration of SPM- 96 mg/NM3, which is within the prescribed limits of the Board.
4. The industry has made arrangement at site i.e. So2 analyzer and double stage alkali scrubber in case if pet coke is used as fuel.
5. The industry has installed two DG sets of capacity 500 KVA & 250 KVA each with canopy and adequate stack height.
As proposed by RO Report, may, if approved:
1. Varied consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2029 with suitable conditions and special conditions that:-
a. The industry is prohibited from using any unauthorized fuel such as used Tyres, Solid Waste, Oil sludge, Acid sludge or any other banned fuel material etc.
b. The Consent to Operate is only for the authorized fuel and subsequently for its Air Pollution Control Device is designed for as per the standards set by the MoEF&CC/CPCB/PPCB.
c. The industry shall take adequate steps and measures to reduce its carbon foot print by using environment friendly approaches and sources such as solar energy/wind energy, adopting efficient fuel saving techniques etc. and shall switch over to CNG/PNG/CBG as and when the supply of the same is available.
