File Note: It is intimated that the project proponent was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/SAS/2023/20996728 dated 09.08.2023, valid upto 08.08.2024 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SAS/2023/24138516 dated 30.11.2023, valid upto 31.03.2028 for manufacturing of Tractor Parts, Washers and Spring Steel Parts @ 12.0 T/day by using raw material Strips, Bars, Flats & Wires @ 13.5 T/day subject to certain terms and conditions mentioned therein. Now, the project proponent has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for manufacturing of Tractor Parts, Washers and Spring Steel Parts @ 12.0 T/day along with requisite documents. The project proponent has submitted CA certificate with the value of fixed assets of Rs. 38.71 crore as on 29.02.2024. Earlier, the project proponent has deposited Rs. 3,54,500/- vide UTR no. HDFCR52023030186906437 dated 01.03.2023 under Water Act, 1974, which is adequate till 31.03.2028. The project proponent has submitted agreement with CETP operator Bantech Water Private Limited made on 17.05.2022 for lifting of effluent @ 40 KL/Month. The project proponent has submitted compliance report of the previous Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 granted to it. The site was visited by the EE & AEE of this office on 06.03.2024 and during visit it was observed as under: 1. The industry was engaged in the process of manufacturing of tractor parts, washers, spring and steel parts using MS/SS rolls, wires etc. 2. The industry is involved in the process like cutting, grinding, pressing, bending & machining work and also doing zinc plating, alkaline plating. 3. The industry has installed 1 strip cutting machine, 85 no. power presses, 2 no. austempering-heat treatment furnace of capacity of 2400 kg/day and 1200 kg/day using electricity as fuel, 2 no. tempering furnace, 14 no. multi slide machine, 4 tapping machines, 4 sorting machines, 2 wire bending machine, 60 turning centres, 4 chamfering machines, 23 surface grinders, 2 tool grinders, 2 belt polishing machines, 11 drilling machines, 1 bin cleaning machine, 31 grinding machines etc. 4. The austempering- heat treatment furnace of capacity of 2400 kg/day was in operation. The stack provided with the 2 no. furnaces is of adequate height and provided with sampling arrangements. 5. The industry has installed water scrubber in the HCl acid dip section and 2 no. hoods are connected with common water scrubber. Sampling arrangement provided. 6. During visit, the project proponent has shown manifest slip for lastly lifted trade effluent @ 10,000 ltr to JBR vide manifest no. 18206 dated 17.02.2024. 7. The industry has provided 03 DG set of capacity 600 KVA, 365 KVA & 250 KVA within the premises, all are equipped with canopy and stack of adequate height. Sampling arrangement provided. In view of the above, may if approved, it is recommended that consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 31.03.2028 subject to suitable conditions.
