Earlier, the industry has existing 'Consent to Operate' for the manufacturing of Electroplating of cycle parts @ 6000 Nos./day, B.B Ring @ 20000 Nos/day. For which, it had signed an agreement with CETP operator for disposal of trade effluent @ 8000 ltr/month.
In the month of September, 2023, due to increase in effluent by increasing Electroplating of Tent Furniture chairs on job basis @ 250 Nos./day, the industry has revised its agreement with CETP for disposal of trade effluent @ 15000 ltr/month.
In reply to query of ZO, RO has attached copy of agreement with CETP operator and reported that as per copy of agreement, CETP operator has signed the same on 11.09.2023 and it has mentioned at the bottom of the agreement that this agreement has been increased by 5000 litres and balance quantity of CETP is 3067825 litres.
In view of report of RO, it is recommended that ‘consent to establish'/ (NOC expansion) under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for one year with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board, please.
