• The colony was granted consent to establish (NOC) under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 dated 15.12.2021 (Valid up to 14.12.2022) for development of commercial colony in an area of 21 kanal 17 marlas having 50 commercial shops and for discharge of treated effluent @ 10 KLD after treatment in O&G trap -- Grit Chamber -- Septic tank onto land for plantation/irrigation.………..
• Now the project proponent applied for obtaining CTOs under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. …………
• The visiting officer has reported that the site of the colony was visited on 01.03.2024 and it was observed that 03 no. commercial shops have been constructed. Bar screen -- O&G trap -- Grit Chamber -- Septic tank provided for treatment of domestic effluent with the provision to discharge into MC sewer and green area. The project proponent has submitted the payment of sewerage charges to MC, Rampura Phul and also submitted letter issued by the MC, Rampura Phul vide no. 630 dated 16.06.2023 regarding no objection for providing sewerage connection to Malwa Developers, Rampura Phul.…………….
• In view of above, if approved, CTO under the Water Act, 1974 be granted to the project proponent for occupancy of 03 commercial shops and for discharge of treated effluent @ 02 KLD into MC sewer/onto green area, upto 31.03.2027, subject to the following special conditions that:-…………
1. The project proponent shall apply for obtaining varied consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 as & when the occupancy or discharge of treated effluent increases beyond the consented occupancy and discharge………...
2. The project proponent will not use any fresh water in the green area/ plantation developed inside the project premises and will make adequate arrangements to reuse the treated effluent for flushing purposes and / or for watering of green areas in the project premises and only the excess effluent will be discharged into MC sewer………….
3. The project proponent shall ensure no stagnation in the plantation area and will be bound to increase the same in case any stagnation is observed in it……….
4. The project proponent shall also develop the vermi-composting/composting to manage the biodegradable solid waste and shall not throw, burn or bury any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain / water bodies………….
5. The project proponent shall perform / promote its Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities as well as use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic (See attached banner/circular)………..
6. The project proponent shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises………..
7. The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner…………
8. The project proponent shall carry out awareness and activities for the themes / action points identified under Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for the Environment) by Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change given at the website (http://missionlife-moefcc.nic.in)………….
