It is submitted that the industry is small scale red category unit and earlier the industry was granted varied Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/LDH4/2018/7203555 dated 10.04.2018 and Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/LDH4/2018/7203822 dated 10.04.2018, which were valid upto 30.06.2022 for manufacturing of Rough Forging @ 4.0 TPD and cylinder bung @ 100 Kgs/day.
Now the industry has applied for varied Consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS for manufacturing of Rough Forging @ 4.0 TPD. The industry has deposited consent fee amounting to Rs. 64800/- vide no. N117232433920098 dated 27.04.2023 under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 64800/- vide no. N117232433920102 dated 27.04.2023 under Air Act, 1981 and Rs. 5600/- vide R.no. N117232433923087 dated 27.04.2023 as NOC fees, which is adequate upto 30.06.2027.
The industry was visited by the undersigned on 07.03.2023 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit and is engaged in hot forging of cycle/auto parts.
2. The industry has installed 02 nos oil fired forging furnaces provided with hoods and adequate stack height. The industry has also installed 01 no. forging hammer of 04 Tonne capacity. The industry has also installed 01 no. electric forging furnace.
3. The industry has also installed one shot blast with bag filter as APCD.
4. The industry has also installed CNC machines at the top floor.
5. The industry has installed 01 no. DG set of 180 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
6. The industry has no source of trade effluent. Domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer and cooling water is being re-circulated by the industry.
In view of above, it is recommended that the Varied consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2027 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
