It is submitted that the industry is large scale red category unit and earlier the industry was granted renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2019/9383098 dated 01.05.2019 valid upto 31.03.2024 and under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2023/20766349 dated 15.02.2023 valid upto 30.06.2028 with suitable and special conditions mentioned therein.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS. The industry has submitted consent fee of amounting to Rs. 420000/- vide R.no. ICICR52024022900710401 dated 29.02.2024 under the Water Act, 1974, which is valid upto 31.03.2029.
To verify the facts, the site of the industry was visited by the officer of this office on 07.03.2023 and it was observed that :-
1. The industry was in operation during the visit.
2. The industry has no source of trade effluent generation and cooling water is being circulated back in the process. The domestic effluent is being discharged into public sewer.
3. The industry has installed boiler @ 12 TPH and rice husk was being used as fuel during the visit. The stack emission sample of the industry was collected by the officer of this office on 02.08.2023 and as per analysis report the concentration of particulate matter is found to be 139 mg/Nm3 and results are within prescribed limit.
4. The industry has installed two nos. rice husk fired boilers @ 6 TPH capacities with trima cyclone as APCD and both were standby.
5. The industry is complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974.
In view of above, it is recommended that the renewal of Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 31.03.2029 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
