It is submitted that earlier the industry was given personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer (P) of the Board on 11/1/2024 and it was decided as under: -
1) The industry shall deposit bank guarantee amounting to Rs. 50,000/- as an assurance to comply with pollution control laws for all the times.
Reply: - The industry has deposited the bank guarantee of Rs. 50,000/- vide BG No. 02811GF241042429 dated 28.02.2024 valid upto 27.02.2025 as an assurance to comply with pollution control laws for all the times.
2) Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Regional Office, SAS Nagar shall visit the industry immediately to verify the contentions of the industry given by the industry during hearing and thereafter send the report alongwith recommendations.
Reply: - To check the compliance of earlier observations and decisions of hearing, the industry was visited by officer of the Board on 07.03.2024 and point wise reply is enclosed herewith.
As such the industry is now complying with the observations of the earlier visit and the decisions of the personal hearing given to it.
In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2027 with subject to suitable conditions and additional conditions that: -
1. That the industry will maintain daily record regarding treatment and disposal of its LTDS & HTDS effluent.
2. The industry will maintain separate record regarding disposal of RO reject effluent as make up water for heat treatment process.
3. The Regional Office shall carry out complete water audit of the industry and take effluent samples within one month.
