The report and recommendation of RO be perused. The STP is installed for the treatment of domestic effluent of the Focal point area of Jalandhar. Earlier the untreated effluent of this focal point was discharged into Municipal sewer. Now the municipal authorities have refused to take the treated effluent of PSIEC STP into MC sewer. Moreover, the maintenance of Focal Point is also handed over to Municipal Corporation Jalandhar by PSIEC.
In view of above, May if approved a SCN be issued to PSIEC for refusal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 with opportunity of Joint hearing with Municipal Corporation Jalandhar please.
