Sir, the industry is small scale red category unit. The industry is engaged in the process of anodizing/powder coating of aluminum Section.
The industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 both valid upto 30/06/2022 for the process of Anodizing of Aluminum (Powder Coated) @ 150 Numbers/day.
Earlier, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate, however, the case was refused as the industry has installed additional powder coating booth as such the industry is required to apply for varied consent to operate.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents.
The site of industry was visited by RO on 05.03.2024 and it was reported as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit and engaged in process of anodizing/powder coating of aluminum section.
2. The industry has signed agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana @ 1000 Ltr/M for the treatment & disposal of trade effluent generated from process.
3. The industry is maintaining the record of fresh water consumed in process area and trade effluent lifted to CETP operator.
4. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer.
5. The industry has installed 2 No. powder coating booth with powder recovery unit as APCD with adequate stack height.
6. The industry has installed 1 No. electric oven.
7. The industry is complying with the provisions under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981.
The industry falls in Designated Industrial Area-B, Ludhiana.
In view of above, it is recommended that varied of consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2028, please.
