It is submitted that the industry is a small scale green category unit and granted CTO under Water Act, 1974 vide no. .O16LDH4CTOW4266797 and under Air Act, 1981 vide no. O16LDH4CTOA4266596 dated 16.07.2016 and both valid up to 31.07.2017.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining varied CTO under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 along with requisite documents. The industry has deposited Rs. 50400/- vide R no. 254424794 dated 12.03.2024 as water consent fee and Rs. 50400/- vide R no. 6596559 dated 12.03.2024 as Water consent fee against the CA certificate of Rs. 89.39 lacs. Which is adequate up to 30.09.2027 under both acts after deducting NOC regularization fee and late penalty fee.
The industry was visited by the undersigned on 08.12.2023 and observed as under: -
1. The industry is engaged in manufacturing of oil engine spare parts and was in operation.
2. The industry has installed power presses of various capacities, 01 induction heater, CNC machines and other allied machinery.
3. There is no generation of any T.E, only domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
4. The industry has provided 01 DG set of capacity 60 KVA, which was equipped with canopy.
5. The industry has submitted DTP certificate mentioning that the site of the industry falls in mix land zone along the road front and operation of green category is allowed in this zone.
The industry is now complying with the provisions of Air Act, 1981 and Water Act, 1974.
In view of the above, it is recommended that CTO under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2027 with usual conditions and special condition as under: -
1. That the industry will shift its unit from present site to designated area as and when asked by the State Govt/Punjab Pollution Control Board/ as per policy of the state Govt.
2. The industry shall always ensure not to create any type of noise pollution in the vicinity.
3. The industry shall always comply with the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.
