It is submitted that school was issued show cause notice without persona hearing at zonal office level. Now, the school has submitted the reply of the SCN that the difference between the industry's stack and the school's classrooms is more than 200 meters while according to Govt. norms it should be 100 meters so that it does not violate the Govt. norms. And moreover, there was a Technical Education college at the same location since 2001 and it was converted to school in 2016. Kindly find the attached College Registration Copy for your reference.
further, no separate guidelines has been issued for the Establishment of school.However as a safety measure a distance of 100 meter is taken from any educational institute while establishment of any air polluting unit. In this case the industrial unit is already established. Although from the boundary of the school the distance of school is within 100 meters from the stack of unit but the distance of school's classrooms is more than 200 meters from the boundary of the unit.. In view of above, if approved Consent to operate under water Act, 1974 and Air Act 1981 may be granted to the school upto 30.09.2033 with usual conditions please.(competency SEE) |
