It is intimated that the project proponent has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Cream @ 1000 No/day, Face wash Tube @ 15000 No./day, Shampoo @ 10000 No./day, Hair Oil @ 10000 No./day, Onitment @ 10000 No./day, Hair Serum @ 10000 No./day, Face serum @ 10000 No./day, Body wash @ 10000 No./day, Body Lotions @ 10000 No./day, Hair Conditioner @ 10000 No/day, Hair Masks @ 10000 No./day, Face oil @ 10000 No./day and Essential Oils @ 10000 No./day along with requisite documents.
The industry has deposited Rs. 32,000/- vide R No. 578614486 dated 25.11.2023 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 32,000/- vide R No. 423806829 dated 25.11.2023 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.12.2027 after adjusting late fee / penalty against the total cost of the industry 174.27 lacs.
The industry has submitted registry of plot no. 744-C, sector 82, JLPL Industrial Park, Mohali in the name of Sh. Jai Bhagwan Kaushik S/o Trilok Chand.
The industry has submitted building plan approved by Er. Sukhjinder Singh, Competent Person under Factories Act.
The site of the industry was visited by the undersigned on 11.03.2024. During the visit, it was observed as under:
1. The industry was earlier engaged in blending of Tea and has started manufacturing of Ayurvedic drugs in the year 2023. The representative of the industry has submitted that they have increased the electric load from 20 KW to 150 KW on 20.08.2023. After that they have started manufacturing Ayurvedic drugs.
2. The industry was in operation and is engaged in formulation of ayurvedic drugs.
3. The wastewater generated from washing of utensils @ 100 ltrs/day is being treated in electric evaporator.
4. The industry has provided wastewater at inlet of electric evaporator. The industry was advised to maintain its record.
5. The industry has installed DG set of capacity 125 KVA equipped with canopy & stack of adequate height.
6. The fresh supply is provided by JLPL & domestic effluent is discharged into JLPL sewer.
7. No boiler / furnace is installed.
In view of the above, may if approved, it is recommended that consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31.12.2027 subject to suitable condition and following additional conditions that:
1. This consent to operate is valid for manufacturing of Ayurvedic drugs.
2. The industry will stick to the production capacity mentioned in this consent and will not increase the same without prior written permission of the Board.
3. The industry shall not start any other new process within its unit which may change its category from Green to Orange/ Red, without the prior written permission of the Board.
4. The industry shall obtain permission from other concern departments, if need be.
