Sir, the industry has obtained Consent to Establish (NOC) of the Board vide No. CTE/Fresh/LDH2/2022/19249544 dated 04.08.2022 with expiry date 03.08.2023 for manufacturing of Ingot & Steel Casting @ 48 MT/Day using M.S.Scrap @ 52 MT/Day.
Now, the industry has applied Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of for manufacturing of Ingot & Steel Casting @ 48 MT/Day using M.S.Scrap @ 52 MT/Day
The application of the industry has been perused and it has been observed as under:-
1. The industry has not submitted the analysis report of air emissions of induction furnace.
2. The industry has not submitted the complaince of SOPs prescribed for such type of units by Punjab State Council for Science & Technology.
3. The industry has not submitted the detail of re-circulation system of cooling water.
4. The industry has not submitted the details of plantation area for discharge of domestic effluent.
5. The industry has submitted provisional Completion certificate of APCD with furnace of capacity 7 TPH from PSCST and failed to submit final certificate of APCD from PSCST.
6. The Compliance Report of NOC conditions is not verified by visiting officer.
If approved, show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued to industry with hearing at ZO level, please.
