The unit is a small scale green category unit(restaurant KFC) and has applied for consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The restaurant has filed online application form, uploaded CA certificate, GLAD approval letter, site plan location plan, manufacturing process, structure certificate, approved building plan.
The restaurant has deposited Rs. Rs. 105000/- vide no. N220232586956243 dated 08.08.2023 under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 98000/- vide no. N220232586973321 dated 08.08.2023 under Water Act, 1974. The adequacy of fee deposited by the industry is upto 30.09.2028.
The industry was visited by officer of this office on 16.11.2023 and observed as under:-
1. The restaurant was in operation and is only a dine in restaurant.
2. The restaurant has installed ETP cum STP for treatment of trade effluent from kitchen as well as domestic effluent.
3. The restaurant has install ETP cum STP comprising of oil & grease-collection tank-cum-equalization tank-aeration tank-prefilteration-MGF and ACF.
4. The effluent sample were collected during the visit and as per the report received from Air & water lab vide no. 1168-70 dated 14.11.2023, the results are within the limits.
5. The trade effluent is being discharged into sewer after oil and grease trap.
6. The domestic effluent @ 1.7 KLD is being discharge into sewer.
7. The industry has installed one DG set of capacity 156 KVA with canopy & adequate stack height.
8. The said restaurant has been established in GLADA approved/regularized colony. The occupier of the restaurant has made an agreement with the occupier of colony and the rent/agreement has been made for commercial property.
9. The industry is complying with the under the provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
In view of above, it is recommended that the industry may be granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 upto 30.06.2028 with suitable condition as per policy of the Board please.
