Sir, the project proponent has applied for ‘Consent to Establish (NOC) from Pollution Angle under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981
As per letter issued by the Chief Town Planner vide no. 150 dated 20.01.2017, the colony is having area of 16 canal 10 marla out of which 21232 sq yrds is reserved for sale. From this 21232 sq yrds, 19182 sq. yrds reserved for plot for residential plot and 2050 sq. yrds reserved for EWS.
From total 16 canal 10 marla area, 18395 sq. yrds is not for sale out of which 14325 sq. yrds reserved for road and 2066 sq. yrds reserved for park and remaining area reserved for STP, water works and school etc.
The report of RO has been pursued and observed as under:
1. The project proponent has proposed to establishment of Residential Colony at Machhiwara Road, Samrala.
2. The green area 2066 sq. yrds reserved for park is not adequate to handle the 30KLD of treated domestic effluent.
3. The PP is required to submit its own proposal to dispose off the Municipal Solid Waste Generation from the project.
4. High Tension Electrical Wire passes adjoining one side of the colony and no construction zone is not marked in the proposed site plan.
5. The project proponent has not intimated the plantation area for discharge of domestic effluent of 105 KLD and its distance away from colony.
In view of above, it is recommended that Show Cause Notice for Refusal of Consent to establish (NOC) under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 may be issued to the project Proponent with hearing at ZO level, please.
