Remarks:- It is intimated that earlier the Consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted to the industry vide online reference No. CTOA/Renewal/GRP/2018/7840372 dated 23/02/2018, which was valid upto 30/09/2022 under orange category.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for the production of Pig Iron Scrap @ 15 MTD, Hard Coke @ 3.5 TPH, Lime Stone Per Cupola) @ 2.0 T/Day & C.I. Casting Per Cupola) @ 1.0 T/Day by using C.I. Casting @ 3.0 T/day under orange category. The project proponent has submitted various documents, which are enclosed along with the application, which may kindly be pursued.
The industry has deposited Rs. 15300.28/- vide UTR No. SBIN424057814743 dated 26/02/2024 & Rs. 42600.28/- vide UTR No. SBIN424057814613 dated 26/02/2024 as consent to operate fee under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 including Rs. 500/- as Form Downloading fee against total gross value of fixed assets worth Rs. 19,14,100/- as on 31/01/2024 and same are adequate upto 30/09/2028 under both Acts.
The PSCST, Chandigarh has certified vide letter no. PSCST/CC/2001/2579 dated 16/03/2001 that the industry has installed cupola furnace and air pollution control device having melting capacity less than 3T/hr as per the technology evolved by PSTST, Chandigarh.
As per policy of the Board and in the light of Head Office Order No. 59 dated 02/02/2016, the consent cases of Orange Category units are to be processed without visiting them.
The project falls in Orange category in small scale sector, hence competency to decide the case lies with the Environmental Engineer of the Board in the light of Head Office, Patiala letter no. 19650-761 dated 30/04/2013.
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention& control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30/09/2028 with suitable conditions. |
