The industry was earlier granted Consent to Operate under small-scale red category under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2019/9961555 dated 03.07.2019 and under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH3/2019/8784955 dt. 09.01.2019, both were valid for a period upto 30.06.2023 for powder coating and pickling of cycle parts @ 2000 numbers/day with general and special conditions as mentioned therein.......
Now, the industry has applied for varied Consent to Operate under orange category under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 only as the industry has permanently closed down the operation of water polluting process (i.e. pickling).......
The industry has submitted requisite documents and adequate fee upto 30.06.2031 as verified by the RO.........
As per the list supplied by the Assistant Town Planner, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana to the Punjab Pollution Control Board vide letter no. 695/ATP-D dated 27.09.2023, site of the industry falls in the area of Industrial Mix Land Use Zone as mentioned at Sr. No. 8 (Himmatpura)..........
The site of the industry was visited by JEE of RO on 01.03.2024 and it was observed that the industry was in operation during visit. The industry is engaged in powder coating of cycle parts. No water polluting machinery was found stored in the premises of the industry. The representative of the industry informed that they have permanently closed down the operation of water polluting process (i.e. pickling process) and now is only engaged powder coating process and has installed 1 no. powder coating with cyclone as APCD with adequate stack height as observed during the visit.......
In light of letter no. 610-12 dated 31.08.2023 issued by RO, may if approved, onsent to operate applied by the industry Air Act, 1981 for orange category may be granted to industry for a period upto 30.06.2028 with suitable terms and conditions, please.
