• The industry is a small scale orange category unit.
• The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for manufacturing of Vice @ 400 Nos/Day by using Casting of Vices @ 25 Metric Tonnes/Day as raw material and detail of the same is as under:
1. The industry has deposited Rs. 1,12,100/- (Rs. 1,07,100/- under Water Act 1974 and Rs. 5000/- under VDS scheme) vide UTR No. N293232698015508 dated 20.10.2023 and Rs. 1,23,400/- (Rs. 1,07,100/- under Air Act, 1981 and Rs. 10800/- NOC regularization fee and Rs. 5000/- under VDS scheme) vide UTR No. N293232698015514 dated 20.10.2023 against the fixed assets of Rs. 283.03 lacs, which are adequate upto 01.11.2027.
2. The industry has submitted electricity bill as per proof of date of commissioning i.e April 2017.
3. The industry has submitted registry of the land, MOA of the firm, manufacturing process with the application.
4. The industry has submitted approved building plan from competent person under Director of Factories Act, Punjab.
5. The industry has submitted classification of area certificate issued from ATP, Jalandhar vide letter No. 1664 dated 13.03.2024 in which mentioned that the site of the industry falls in General Industrial Zone as per Master Plan Jalandhar.
• The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 01.03.2024 and it was observed that:
1. The industry was in operation during the visit and is engaged in manufacturing of vices.
2. The industry has installed one shot blasting machine with bag filter house as APCD.
3. The industry has installed one powder coating machine with cyclone separator as APCD.
4. The industry has installed electric baking furnace and installed other general machinery at site.
5. There is no source of trade effluent generation and domestic effluent generated by the industry is discharged into sewer.
6. The industry is complying with the conditions under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The industry is a small scale orange category unit and competency to decide such case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Jalandhar.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2027 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
