The industry was given hearing before the Chairman of the Board on 25/01/2024, in the said hearing, it was decided as under:
1. The reply submitted by the industry be sent to Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Regional Office, SAS Nagar with the direction to visit the industry immediately, verify the compliance made by the industry and thereafter send the report alongwith conclusive recommendations.
2. Further action in the matter will be taken after the receipt of report from the Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Regional Office, SAS Nagar.
Now, RO visited the industry and found that the industry has now complied with the earlier observations of the Board, for which notice u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 was issued.
In view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the provisions of the Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2024 subject to suitable conditions and additional conditions as proposed by RO, please.
