• The school is small scale orange category unit.
• The school has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board as educational institute and the detail of the same is an under:-
1. The school was already deposited consent fee of Rs.230400/-vide UTR No. CLBLR92023070100000618 dated 01.07.2023, Rs. 259200/- vide UTR No. UTIBR52023022400174313 dated 24.02.2023 and Rs. 259200/- vide UTR No. AXIC230550946936 dated 24.02.2023 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs.230400/-vide UTR No. CLBLR92023070100000614 dated 01.07.2023 Rs.259200/-vide UTR No. UTIBR52023022400174052 dated 24.02.2023 and Rs.259200/-vide UTR No. AXIC230550926231 dated 24.02.2023 under Air Act, 1981 against the fixed assets of Rs. 2410.24 Lacs as on 31.12.2023, which are adequate upto 31.03.2029 without penalty.
2. The school has submitted building plan approved from concerned department.
3. The school has submitted registry of the land, Performa for the safety of school building, certificate for registration with the application.
4. The school has submitted sewer connection bill issued by Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar.
5. The school has submitted establishment detail as per proof of date of commissioning.
• The school was visited by the officer of this office on 13.03.2024 and it was observed that:-
1. The school was in operation during visit with student capacity 1670.
2. The school has total area 174240 sqft with covered area 69086 sq ft and strength of the students 1670 and staff 130 in the university.
3. The school has installed 3 no. DG set of capacity 63 KVA, 82.5 KVA and 320 KVA with canopy.
4. The school has provided Vermi composted pits for treatment of wet wastes.
5. The school has provided rain harvesting system i.e screen, collection tank, media multi filtration for recharge of ground water with rain water of roof of every building.
6. There is no source of generation of trade effluent only domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
7. The school is a small scale orange category unit and the competency to decide such type of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer.
Keeping In view of above, it is recommended that fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the school upto 30.09.2028 with special conditions as under:-
1. The school shall maintain record of manure produced from Veri-Composting pits.
2. The school shall maintain record of E-waste and shall lifted to the authorized recycler.
3. The school shall maintain record of hazardous waste of category 5.1 and shall lifted to the authorized recycler.
4. The school shall not dispose its wet waste to anywhere from its premises.
5. The school shall not dispose off its solid waste anywhere.
6. The school shall not use single use plastic in its premises and display Board at different location within its premises showing on not use of single use plastic for awareing to students.
