Further observations are as under: - Earlier, the industry has obtained consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/ASR/2019/11238982 dated 29/11/2019, which is valid up to 31/03/2024 for production of SOFT DRINKS MAAZA MANGO @15Metric Tonnes/Day Carbonated Soft Drinks in Pet Bottles @400Kilo Liters/Day Carbonated Soft Drinks in Glass Bottles @150Kilo Liters/Day Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for production of SOFT DRINKS MAAZA MANGO @15Metric Tonnes/Day Carbonated Soft Drinks in Pet Bottles @400Kilo Liters/Day Carbonated Soft Drinks in Glass Bottles @150Kilo Liters/Day Detail of the case are as under: - 1. The industry has submitted CA certificate dated 01.01.2024, which its gross value of fixed assets of Rs. 7589.83 Lakhs as on 01.01.2024. Accordingly, it has deposited Rs. 211700/- (including Rs. 500/- as application form fee) vide UTR/Ref.No. POD011692277 dated 12/02/2024 as consent to operate fee under Air Act, 1981, which it is adequate upto 31.03.2026 under Air Act, 1981. 2. The industry has submitted compliance report of previous consent granted under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Further air emission samples was collected by this office on 03/01/2024. As per analysis report, issued by Zonal Office Lab, Jalandhar vide no. 70-72 dated 08.01.2024, the result of particulate matter 115 mg/nm3 against 500 mg/nm3 is found prescribed limits of the Board. The industry was visited by officers of this office on 03/01/2024 and observed as under: - 1. The industry was in operation and engaged in the process of manufacturing of Carbonated Soft Drinks 2. The industry has installed oil fired boilers (02 nos.) having capacity of 3 TPH each out of which one is in operation and the second is standby. Both the boiler are attached with common stack having adequate height and sampling arrangement. Air emission samples were collected by this office during visit. 3. The industry has installed 03 no. D.G. set of capacity @ 750 KVA each and 01 no. D.G. Set of capacity 82.5 KVA which is equipped with canopy and adequate stack height. It is further intimated that the industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted earlier under Air Act, 1981. The industry falls in red category in the large-scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with Hon'ble Chairman of the Board. Keeping in view of above, may if approved, renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 31/03/2026 with suitable terms & conditions.
