Remarks:
It is intimated that the industry is a large scale red category unit and engaged in the process of manufacturing of sports goods.
The industry has obtained consents to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 which are valid upto 31.03.2024.
The industry was granted consent to establish (Expansion) under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Exp/JAL2/2023/21953794 dated 19.06.2023 valid upto 18.06.2024 for installation of new boiler of capacity 04 TPH and to increase its production capacity.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with requisite documents for increased production capacity and new boiler of capacity 04 TPH.
The industry has deposited Rs. 2,46,000 /- vide UTR No. 165578406 dated 11.03.2024 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 2,46000 /- vide UTR No. 753159055 dated 11.03.2024 under Air Act, 1981, adequate upto 30.04.2029
The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 19.03.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit and engaged in the process of manufacturing of sports goods.
2. The industry has installed new boiler of steam generation capacity 04 TPH with cyclone separator as APCD. Bio Mass pallets will be used as fuel. The old boiler is being dismantled.
3. The industry has installed other non-polluting machinery such as shoe sole and tennis ball machinery resulting in increase in production.
4. There is no source of generation of the trade effluent from the process and only domestic effluent was discharged into sewer and entire cooling water of the industry was re-circulated at site.
5. The industry has installed 03 D.G set of capacities 320 KVA. 380 KVA and 62.5 KVA, same are with canopies.
6. The industry has submitted building plan endorsed by approved architect.
In view of above, it is recommended that varied Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31.03.2029 with suitable conditions and special condition that:-
1. The industry shall get its emission samples analyzed within two months from Board’s Lab.
