It is intimated that the STP of capacity 5 MLD installed by PSIEC, Focal Point, Jalandhar was visited by officer of this office on 20.03.2024 and observed that the STP was in operation during visit. Earlier, the final disposal of STP 5 MLD was provided into Municipal Corporation sewer and same has now disconnected by the Municipal Corporation Authorities. The treated effluent of the STP is now discharged into Kala Sanghian drain after treatment. The PSIEC has provided a PVC pipeline for the disposal of trade effluent of STP into Kala Sanghian drain without getting prior permission from Drainage Department till date.
The concerned Departments were also informed regarding hearing fixed before Hon'ble Chairman of the Board on 21.03.2024.
