Sir, in reply to query of ZO, RO reported that the industry has submitted the reply in which it is mentioned that, under no circumstances the cotton/processing capacity shall exceed 5 MTD and about 20 MTD will be PE/acrylic processing. Out of total waste water generation, about 455 KLD shall be reused & about 185 KLD will be disposal onto land after treatment for plantation. For storage of treated waste water, two storage tanks of 900 m3 & 400 m3 shall be provided for LS & HS effluents respectively. For disposal, about 3.5 acres of land will be developed based on Karnal Technology with pohlar/Eucalyptus plantation. Out of total land for plantation 1 Acres of land is sourced on lease. The leased land is just adjoining the project site.
RO recommended that the industry may be granted 'Consent to establish' (NOC for first time) under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for one year for Dyed fabric (PE/Cotton/ Acrylic/PC) @ 25 MTD with discharge of trade effluent @ 185 KLD onto land for plantation and installation of boiler of 6 TPH capacity with rice husk/biomass fired as fuel with suitable condition as per policy of the Board.
If approved, 'Consent to Establish' (NOC) under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry as proposed by RO, please.
