1. Details of additional machinery installed by the industry for expansion of unit alongwith documentary proof.
Reply: - The details of the machinery installed by the industry is attached.
2. Year and month of expansion made by the industry.
Reply: - The industry has installed the complete machinery for the current expansion before 31.12.2023 (copy enclosed). However, the complete machinery has been installed in the existing shed of the industry.
3. Is there any increase in air pollution load with the expansion of the unit. If Yes, status of varied CTO application under the Air Act, 1981.
Reply: - There is increase in process emissions due to increase in blow rooms and carding machines. However, the industry has provided adequate no. of rotary filters for control of fluff from the industry.
4. Details of monitoring of STPs and APCDs carried out by the Board's lab.
Reply: - The industry has submitted analysis results from PBTI lab dated 4/7/2023 and results are as under:-
pH= 8.24, TSS= 4.3, TDS= 551, BOD= 2.3, COD= 16, O&G= BDL, F.Coli= 33
As per analysis results all the parameters are within the prescribed limits of the board. (copy enclosed)
5. As to whether the site of the industry is suitable as per policy of the Board under prevalence.
Reply: - The industry has submitted structure stability certificate prepared by Er. Mandeep Singh, Competent Person, Regd with Director of Factories Punjab dated 03/05/2022. (Copy enclosed)
In view of above, it is recommended that varied consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted for one year with subject to suitable conditions and special conditions mentioned in earlier note.
