As per previous CTO condition imposed was:
The industry shall ensure the compliance of provisions of the EIA notification 2006 in accordance with the clarification given by Northern Regional Office, MoEF&CC, Chandigarh vide its letter dated 15.04.2019, i.e. it shall obtain Environmental clearance as per EIA notification, in case its total built up area exceeds
20000 sq. mtrs.
The PP has submitted a undertaking (copy attached) stating as under:
I, Siddharth Bansal, S/o Satish Kumar Bansal R/o D–7, Maharani Bagh, Delhi am the director of Indira Infratech Private Limited, PROJECT- VIRAT GREENS, MULTANIA ROAD, BATHINDA , hereby undertake to say that
1. Our unit is only an area development project and does not come under purview of EIA Notification 2006.
2. We further submit that if required we shall take clarification from SEIAA-SEAC regarding applicability of EIA on us and submit the same in due time.
3. We further undertake to maintain accurate records and documentation related to environmental compliance, which shall be made available for inspection by regulatory authorities as and when required.
4. This undertaking is provided voluntarily and reflects our sincere commitment to environmental stewardship an d responsible business practices.
From above undertaking the PP is of the view that the project developed by him is not covered under EIA notification 2006 and wants to seek clarification from SEIAA/ SEAC in this regard.
Considering the undertaking by the PP it is recommended that CTO may be granted to the Project with usual conditions and special condition that the PP shall submit letter from SEIAA / MOEF & CC regarding applicability of EIA notification 2006 within 2 months. |
