Kindly peruse the note of EE/AEE.
It is submitted that as reported by Regional Office, the application of the poultry farm has once been refused by Regional Office, SGR due to failure to achieve siting guidelines. The poultry farm has resubmitted the application highlighting no objection by nearby residents and existence of paddy straw dump/ area b/w poultry farm and residential area, which may hamper the ill impact. The application has been forwarded for kind consideration of the Competent Authority.
It is further submitted that :
1. The poultry farm has submitted the letter from Tehsildar, Bhawanigarh, Sangrur vide his office letter no. 124 dated 19/03/2023, wherein at point no. 1, it has been mentioned that the distance of the residential area from the site is 500 mtr.
2. As per the agenda attached with the note of AEE, it has been mentioned that “15 pucca residential houses were found in the radius of 500 m of the poultry farm.” It is pertinent to mention here that as discussed with AEE of Regional Office, SGR, the distances were measured with the help of google map, which generally shows the error of 10 to 20 mtr.
3. The poultry farm is a Broiler farm, wherein small chicks are purchased and are raised for around 45 days and are sold in the market. The sheds are then cleared and disinfected before the next lot. Therefore, there are lesser chances of nuisance/ flies than the layer farm.
4. The project proponent has submitted no objection certificate from the said residential area.
5. There are poultry sheds like provided by ABIS Privartan based on modern techniques, which decrease the nuisance value of such type of units.
In view of above, may if approved, the file be forwarded to the Competent Authority for the kind consideration, please.
