Sir, RO reported that the industry has increased production capacity of Auto & Engineering Parts from 10 Metric Tonnes/ Day to 22 MT/day, for which the industry has replaced the dedicated machinery with enhanced capacity. So, it seems that the industry is in operation with new machinery and discarded the old machinery and needs to apply for varied consent to operate for increased production.
If approved, show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued to industry with hearing before the CEE, Ludhiana, please.
