Reply- Yes, the industry has installed all the machinery proposed while grant of previous CTE (expansion).
2. Whether the industry has taken adequate measures to handle boiler ash as per SoP?
Reply: Yes, the industry has taken adequate measures to handle boiler ash as per SoPs.
3. Why air emission sampling not carried out ?
Reply: Due to the lesser availability of lab staff, sampling could not be done. The same will be carried out in near future.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the varied consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Sorted raw rice with dryer @ 3.0 TPH and Steamed rice @ 2.0 TPH by using Paddy @7.5 TPH may be granted upto 30.09.2028, with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board. The competency for grant of consents/NOC to the rice shellers with or without dryer lies with the Environmental Engineer of the Regional Office.
