May, peruse the note of EE, ZO above. The Poultry Farm is an existing and is having 9000 birds. The Poultry Farm has proposed for an expansion from 9000 birds to 18000 birds. The Poultry Farm has obtained the certificate of siting guidelines from Tehsildar office, Bhawanigarh and as per the certificate of Tehsildar there are only 8 houses within the 500 meter distance from the Poultry Farm, but as per the verification done by the Officers of the PPCB there are more than 15 houses within 500 meter. Thereafter, PPCB sought clarification from the Tehsildar office regarding the number of houses within 500 meter distance from the Farm. Tehsildar again clarified that there are only 8 no. houses with in 500 meter. As per the guidelines prescribed by the Board for the establishment and expansion of Poultry Farm 15 no. houses are allowed within 500 meter.
However, the Poultry Farm has also proposed to provide Environmental Controlled sheds of the existing Poultry Farm as well as for the proposed expansion of Poultry Farm. The Farm shall cover the entire double story single shed from all the sides, so that the complete sheds is packed from all the sides and shall provide a proper ventilation mechanism with proper air pollution control system, so that no air pollution is caused due to the operation of the Poultry Farm. The industry shall give an undertaking to the Board to this effect that it will provide Environmentally control sheds pack from all the sides along with adequate air pollution control system.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that CTE for expansion may be granted to the Farm subject to the following conditions :
1. The industry shall provide Environmental Controlled sheds of the existing Poultry Farm as well as for the proposed expansion of Poultry Farm. The Farm shall cover the entire double story single shed from all the sides, so that the complete sheds is packed from all the sides and shall provide a proper ventilation mechanism with proper air pollution control system, so that no air pollution is caused due to the operation of the Poultry Farm. The industry shall give an undertaking to the Board to this effect that it will provide Environmentally control sheds pack from all the sides along with adequate air pollution control system.
2. The industry shall also comply with the SoPs/guidelines framed by CPCB/PPCB for the operation of the Poultry Farm.
