To verify the facts, the industry was visited by me on 19.10.2023 along with CEE, Bathinda, SEE, ZO-II, Patiala, EE, ZO-I, Patiala and Scientific Staff of Zonal Lab, Patiala and following shortcomings observed as under: -
1. The aeration tank of this ETP was found not having proper design which is required to upgrade.
2. The industry is required to proper sludge drying beds for drying the sludge being generated.
3. The ETP was found in operation during visit and effluent samples from inlet/outlet of ETP and from various components of ETP were collected for monitoring purpose. The results of the effluent samples have been received from the Zonal Lab, Patiala on 31.10.2023 and as per the analysis report results are within limit. The copy of the analysis report attached.
4. The industry has not given any color coding to the pipelines carrying treated/untreated wastewater. The industry was advised to provide the same.
5. The industry is required to provide EMF meter at different locations of ETP, inlet/outlet of UF/ROs installed by the industry to adjudge/make water balance as well as check the quantity of untreated effluent being treated in the ETP. The industry was advised to provide the same.
NOW, the industry has removed all shortcomings. The details of the same is s given below-
1.The aeration tank and sludge drying beds of this ETP were found having proper design and effluent samples from inlet/outlet of ETP and from various components of ETP were collected for monitoring purpose. The results of the effluent samples have been received from the Zonal Lab, Patiala on 31.10.2023 and as per the analysis report results are within limit. Thus, ETP is adequate.
2. The industry has now given color coding to the pipelines carrying treated/untreated wastewater. 3. The industry has provided EMF meter at different locations of ETP and start maintaining record.
In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2028 with usual conditions a per policy of the Board. Competency Worthy Chairman of the Board
