• The industry is a medium scale orange category unit.
• The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 valid upto 31.03.2024 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 valid upto 30.06.2023 for manufacturing of CNC hydraulic press brake @ 232 Numbers/Day and CNC/NC hydraulic shearing machines @ 106 Numbers/Day
• Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 with and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for manufacturing of for manufacturing of CNC hydraulic press brake @ 232 Numbers/Day and CNC/NC hydraulic shearing machines @ 106 Numbers/Day and detail of the same is as under:-
1. The industry has deposited Rs. 3,60,500/- vide UTR.N. HDFCR52024021579883529 dated 15.02.2024 under Water Act, 1974, which is adequate upto 31.07.2030 and Rs. 2,82,500/- vide No. 377446722 dated 29.06.2023 and Rs. 78000/- vide UTR.N. N046242886845154 dated 15.02.2024 (Total 3,60,500/-) under Air Act, 1981 which is adequate upto 31.10.2029.
2. The industry has submitted approved building plan from Competent person under Factories Act, Punjab.
3. The industry has submitted continuation certificate issued by ATP, MC, Jalandhar vide their office letter no. MTP/1443 dated 05.02.2024 and as per certificate, the permission has been granted to the industry for operation of unit at site upto 22.08.2025.
4. The industry has submitted MOA, compliance report of previous granted consent, site cum location plan, MSME certificate, manufacturing process with the application.
• The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 22.03.2024 and observed that :-
1. The industry was in operation and is engaged in manufacturing of CNC hydraulic press brake, CNC/NC hydraulic shearing machines and CNC laser at site.
2. The industry has installed machinery for sheet cutting, welding etc for making CNC machines.
3. The industry has installed one painting booth with enclosed chamber for painting of small parts and the painting of big size CNC machines is done under shed. The industry has installed exhaust system with it and no process emission found emitted by the industry.
4. The industry has installed 2 no. D.G set of capacity 400 KVA and 380 KVA with canopies at site
5. The industry has installed other general machinery in its premises.
6. The industry has installed 02 nos. STP's for treatment of domestic effluent and the same is discharged onto land for plantation after treatment with 2 nos. STP inside the premises.
7. The industry has maintained plantation in an area of about 1.2 acre for discharge of effluent after STP’s. The industry has provided ordinary water meter at the outlet of each STP and is maintaining their record in this regard.
8. The effluent of the industry was collected from final outlet of 2 nos. STP by this office on 01.03.2023 and sent to Boards lab for analysis, as per analysis report received from Zonal Lab, Jalandhar results are found as under:-

As per analysis report all the parameters are found within the prescribed limits of the Board. There is no source of trade effluent generation at site.
9. The industry is complying with the provisions of under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The industry is a medium scale orange category unit and competency to decide such type of case lies with Chief Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar.
Recommendation:- Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 22.08.2025 with usual conditions as per policy of the Board.
