Kindly peruse the note of AEE. In view of facts mentioned in the agenda note of AEE, it is clear that the industry has not developed the plantation in an area of 33% of the total area as per the condition of Environmental Clearance granted to it and also, it has not amended the EC. Further, the industry vide its letter through e-mail dated 23.03.2024 informed that the industry has taken the 6.11 acre land on lease on 15.02.2024 (copy attached) executed between Smt. Madhu Goyal and M/s Madhav KRG Limited, which is valid upto 14.02.2034 to develop the plantation area. However, the industry has not amended the EC till date in compliance to the previous consent condition.
In view of the facts mentioned above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed for six months subject to the suitable conditions and additional conditions that:
1. The industry will obtain necessary amendment in the Environmental Compensation conditions w.r.t. addition of the area to achieve minimum 33% area under Green Belt from SEIAA, Punjab within 03 months.
2. The industry shall get its spent HCL lifted to the authorized recycler/co-processer having valid authorization under Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Trans-boundary) Rules, 2016.
3. The industry shall comply with the conditions of Environmental Clearance granted to it in true letter & spirit.
4. The industry shall submit their proposal to install the ETP based on ZLD technology for treatment of their electroplating/ spent hydrochloric acid (HCl) within 01 month.
