Subject: Show cause notice for refusal of consent to establish / NOC under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981: M/s Beas Park (Promoted by Kuldeep Singh Khaira) Village Laddian Kalan, Hadbast no. 105, Tehsil and Distt. Ludhiana.

The Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana, brought out that the Project Proponent (PP) has applied for obtaining 'consent to establish (NOC) for establishment of a residential colony under the name of “M/s Beas Park” in an area of 10.71 acres in the revenue of village Ladian kalan, Ludhiana in the Hadbast no. 105, Ludhiana.
The case was examined and it was observed that the project proponent does not have appropriate proposal for utilisation of the treated wastewater.
Accordingly, show cause notice for refusal of consent to establish / NOC under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was issued to the industry with an opportunity of the personal hearing before Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana on 12.03.2024.
Sh. Kuldeep Singh, Authorized Signatory attended the hearing. He could not produce any proposal for the utilization of treated domestic wastewater in a environmentally sound manner.
After hearing, officer of Board and representative of the industry, Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board decided that the application of consent to establish (NOC) under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be refused.
Submitted for confirmation of decisions of the hearing and for conveying to the industry and Regional Office for compliance of above decisions, please. |
