The point wise reply is as under:
1. Regional Office is to clarify whether the industry has submitted any water balance report incompliance to the decision of hearing given to the industry by the Chairman of the Board on 22.08.2023.
Reply: The water balance submitted by the industry is enclosed for the ready reference.
2. Regional Office has not comment upon the applicability of EPR / registration under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 as decided in the hearing on 22.08.2023.
Reply: The industry is using shrink film in packaging of its beer cans. Therefore is covered under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016.
In view of above, the industry may be granted renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 upto 31.03.2029 with suitable conditions mentioned earlier by this office alongwith special condition that the industry shall obtained registration under EPR Rules, within one month. |
