It is intimated that the colony is a large scale residential colony and is covered under red category.
The colony was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 Vide no. CTOW/Renewal/JAL1/2023/21845061 dated 15.06.2023 valid upto 31.03.2024.
The project has been granted Environmental Clearance vide letter No. SEIAA/MS/2014/2750 dated 11.09.2014 by the SEIAA for total plot area is 35155 sqm (8.68 acre) and 40 scot villas, 80 denver houses, 108 high rise apartments and 32 economically weaker section houses having total built up area is 48078.25 sq/mtr.
Now the project proponent has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS of the Board and detail of the same is as under:-
1. The industry has deposited Rs. 3,18,000/- vide R./NO 498276806 dated 22.03.2024 vide R./NO 498276806 dated 22.03.2024 under Act, 1974 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 which is adequate upto 31.03.2029.
The colony was visited by AEE of this office on 26.03.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The colony has constructed 29 nos. villas, 90 no. independent floor and 72 no. flats, one gym cum kitty hall at site.
2. The colony has installed STP to treat its domestic effluent generated at site and same was in operation. The colony was discharging their treated effluent inside its premises onto land for plantation/gardening. The industry has provided composite pit to manage the wet waste generated from its premises and separate room for storage of solid waste.
3. The colony has provided conventional flow meter at final outlet of STP. The project proponent has also provided energy meter with the STP. The colony has also provided 02 No. treated storage tank of capacity 2000 ltr each from where it was re- using the same in the flats.
4. The effluent sample was collected during visit from final outlet of STP and sent to Boards lab for analysis and results of the same is awaited.
5. The project proponent has developed plantation area approx. 59660 sft. The project proponent has submitted compliance of environmental conditions.
6. The project proponent has already submitted approved building plan issued by Municipal Town Planner, MC Jalandhar vide no. MTP/238 dated 18-08-2010.
7. The project proponent has already submitted NOC from M.C Jalandhar for discharge of sewage water into main M.C sewer, NOC regarding water supply connection, disposal of solid waste collection centre vide memo no. 575/SE/O&M dated 13-01-2015.
8. The colony has submitted bank guarantee of Rs. 2,00,000/- which is valid upto 05.08.2024.
In view of above it is recommended that consent under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted for project upto 31.03.2029 after co-relating analysis report (Competency Chairman of the Board).
